School renovation project

With the above principles to guide us and an unwavering, uncompromising determination to bring about a change to the society; We students of Xavier Institute of Management joined hands to form Team Utkarsh with the sole aim to bring about change to the lives of those few around us, who have the fire and conviction, but lack in the resources to achieve their destination.

We cannot do everything at once, but we can do something at once. ~Calvin Coolidge

We know we can not change the world overnight, but we also know that with our zeal and relentless attitudes, we will at least hit one nail into the wall, strike one ball out of the park, we will make at least one tangible difference to the world as we know, we will bring a smile to at least one face and give a set of dreams to at least one pair of eyes which will light up their worlds.

And what better way to achieve this than to give the society the gift of education.

We saw this dream, and then we saw this school, 800 students packed up in two small buildings.

Children cramped up in small rooms with no light, no chairs,broken roof and broken boards; mud all around, flies and mosquitoes as their school mates, broken fences leading to the occasional trips by the neighborhood dogs and cows.



And just then the bell rang, 800 students lined up, not for their morning attendance, but to take a sip of water. Yes, for a drink of water, 800 students and two water taps.

Project Utkarsh is our endeavour to reach out to the weaker sections of the society.
OSAP school,Bhubaneswar  is  an opportunity and a challenge.
We aim to make a difference to this  habitat.

What we plan to do;

• Provide facilities for drinking water with proper drainage
• Fence the boundary
• Whitewash the building
• Provide lighting in the clasrooms
• Clean the grounds.
• Organise cultural events like painting,essay writing for the children and distribute prizes.

But we need your help to create a tangible difference to the lives of these children. Come join the endeavour and be a part of an emotional, exhilarating and fulfilling experience.
